Carrie Underwood American Idol Season Four

After 15 seasons looking for stars from all over the country, the talent search program "American Idol" ended on Thursday (07/04/2016) night local time. "Whoever wins tonight will close the history that begins with Kelly Clarkson. People will always remember the first and final champions," said the host of "American Idol", Ryan Seacrest. Beginning with the election of Kelly Clarkson as the first American Idol champion, the American public chose Trent Harmon as the last idol. The 25-year-old from Mississippi defeated La'Porsha Renae finalists. 

The event was opened with the emergence of US President Barack Obama who invited the audience to exercise their right to vote in elections. "Not everyone can sing like Kelly Clarkson, but our voice means a lot," Obama said, encouraging Americans to register at Vote.gov. "This show reaches its peak not only because the American people watch, but also because you participate in its success," Obama said. 

The peak event of American Idol season 15 was filled with the appearance of the alumni, such as Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and Jennifer Hudson. In addition, the audience was surprised by the appearance of the first trio of jury, the talent search event, namely Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Paula Abdul. Their special presence to pay homage to Idol host, Ryan Seacrest. 

The fourth season judge, Carrie Underwood, performed with one of the judges, Keith Urban. Underwood then returns to the stage by singing one of his singles "Something in the Water". Like Keith Urban, another judge, Jennifer Lopez, also featured her latest single, "Ain't Your Mama". "American Idol" had become the most watched television program in America. In the early seasons, "Idol" was watched by 40 million people. This event then expanded to various countries. Indonesia is no exception with the "Indonesian Idol" program. But in the last few years the rating has continued to fall. Even at the last night, only 10 million people watched it. Nevertheless this event then inspired similar talent search programs.
